Singer Matty St. Croix and Guitarist/engineer Albie were all that remained of a previously established project 'The Creeps'. After several personnel changes and recent awesome additions of well established southern Californian musicians the Belfry Bats were born. With the new name the band was off and running and continued to work on some older material. At the same time of fine tuning the older material, several new songs came to light.
The original bass player left to pursue other interests as well as the original guitarist. Without missing a beat they brought on board Jimmy Jam ( formerly of The Henchmen ). The three members with the addition of a close friend, Bob Nelson, on drums started to record the many songs, two of which are available here. With the final addition of new drummer Mikey Fragile( from the Huntington Beach band 'Sinizen' ) they have currently completed their first EP and should be available to the public very soon!!! Also be on the lookout for more Belfry Bats live dates!!!!
The Belfry Bats would like to thank Neidermeier (The Horrorpops) for all the hard work he has put into the bands recording. The first two songs were recorded & mastered by him in July of this year. The remaining four songs were recorded by Albie the guitarist at Dead Records . The last four songs include the original lineup of Belfry Bats. Looking forward to hearing your comments. If you are interested in getting a Belfry Bat cd, leave us a message.
Update 5/11/09
Due to an evergrowing tattoo business, Jimmy Jam, has left the band under great terms. We wish Jimmy nothing but the best and thank him for his effort in getting us off the ground. If you need an awesome tattoo please look him up, he is still in our top friends. With any sad new comes good news, we would like to welcome our new bass player Mr. Wesley Hinshaw, from the Phoenix psychobilly band Buried in Red. We are are very excited to welcome Wes into the fold, he has been a constant sub for us in the past, and we know he is a great fit.
