About Me

I've played the drums since 1971, and have sat in with several bands when their drummer wasn't available.
I've been playing the piano for (mumble) 43 years, since I was 6 years old.  As a child, I played Carnegie Hall twice.  I play all styles of music, but today I'm focused on Classic & Contemporary Country, and Classic Rock.
MUSICAL INFLUENCES:
Keys: Floyd Cramer, Jerry Lee Lewis, Phil Vassar, Billy Joel, Elton John
Drums: Keith Moon, Max Weinberg, Buddy Rich, Ronnie James Dio
After playing with several country & rock bands in West Michigan, I moved to Nashville during the summer of 2007 to get involved more seriously in the music business.
My wife TeriJo is also a vocalist/songwriter.  She and I have day jobs as business owners.  Check us out at www.NashvilleWebPros.com
I play a Roland RD-300, Roland JV-80, running through a Roland Cube-100 amp.  Great sound!
Playing the famous Steinway at RCA's Studio B in Nashville
The song "Last Date" by Floyd Cramer has become one of my signature songs, that I play often at shows.  In September of 2006 I had the chance to play the piano that this song was (and many, many others were) recorded on, at RCA's Studio B in Nashville.  I don't mind telling you that it was as close to a religious experience as I've had in a long time.
I'm not fixated on becoming the Next Big Country Music Thing; but I'm happy to be making music in Music City!
(Because someone asked) That's Floyd Cramer playing on the audio clip, not me.

Getting to Nashville

I've been a musician pretty much all my life. The first 5 years of my life don't count; we'll call those "The Lost Years"   .  When I was 3 or 4, my grandparents bought me a ...

A Quick Rant
