Since 1946, The Cast Theatre (originally The Circle, and more recently the home of The Theatre District) has survived as a landmark for Los Angelinos. Though she has been fortunate enough to continuously foster art, Mother Nature and Father Time did their best to challenge her over the years. And like a true Hollywood Starlet… she faced the challenge the best way she new how – with a facelift and a make-over! And on August 1st she reinvents herself again, as the newly managed "El Centro Theatre".
Over the last five years of loving restoration, The Theatre District worked to get the theatre “all dolled up†for audiences once again. Now, moving on to other artistic ventures, the Theatre District has placed the care of this beauty into the hands of its new family - who have chosen to rename her steeped in the roots of her location - thus the "El Centro Theatre". The newly refurbished Theatre offers great new features for theatre-goers and theatre artists alike.Â
