The music of My name is not Billy was born in october 2005 when, after breaking his arm, he found himself unable to drum for his hip hop fusion band. Wondering round a music centre in southampton, with his arm in cast, he came across something which caught his eye, A Roland HPD-15 electronic percussion pad, also known as a handsonic. It was connected up and ready to run and to his delight he found it not only sounded impressive, but could also be played with his arm in cast. Such was his delight that, after playing a 30 minute jam and forming a small audience, he immediatly rushed home and surfed the web, looking for a cheaper one than the shop had so kindly let him try out for half an hour.
A week or two later a package arrived and after the packageing was torn apart a lengthy 11 hour solo jamming session immediatly occured (to the growing annoyance of un-named housemates), during which the first ever My name is not Billy song was created.
Since then the handsonic has continuely unleashed new, unknown secrets to it's owner, enabling the creation of whole sets of live material useing just the one peice of hardware!
My name is not Billy's aim is to create interesting and eclectic dance music using beats, groove and sounds from all over the world to create as diverse a set as possible without the aid of a laptop!
My name is not Billy: Who the hell aren't you?
