About Me

Thorsten RugeBorn 7th May 1964 in Hamburg, Germany.Being a little boy I already discovered my affection for music. Without a selective style I listened to what I liked. With the age of 15 I aimed for a certain music tendency. The fifties and the Neo-Rockabilly, the end of the seventies and eighties meant my first contact towards the scene. I became a "Teddyboy".But also Punk interested me. Bands like The Ramones and The Clash changed my musical directions.Only in 1983 I decided to change my dreams of making music into reality. Inspired by a band called The Alarm I began to learn the guitar. This band, especially their front man Mike Peters, changed my life. With a friend of mine I founded the project "The untouchable hands". Between 1983 and 1987 we practised as much as we could to progress. Out of this time songs like "Glory days", "Broken boy", "World of different hopes" and "See me now" derived and the idea for the song "The liar" was born but only accomplished 20 years later.Due to a conflict the project of the "hands" found its end in 1987.Henceforth I played for myself to improve my guitar and I was constantly looking for new songs. In the mid 90th I played a couple sessions with a friend and wrote the song "Take a train"In 2006 I founded my own project called "trashcanation".In the meantime I produced four albums.Everything that was meant for the bin turned suddenly out as an idea: "trashcanation" was born!!
Tim Borgwardt Born 28th June 1969Tim, being singer and bassist of the band "Twisted Harmony" since 1996, which is a heavy metal band from Wahlstedt (Germany). He ran from 2002 to 2007 the Subline Sound Studio in Wahlstedt, in which among others the "trashcanation"-CDs were recorded. In May 2007 he decided - after he took part as a guest musician at the "trashpoint.three" - to join trashcanation as bassist and background singer.
Björn 'Büm' Warn Only with the "late" age of 21 and due to the fact that I started to play spontaneously tact firm I became the drummer of a band I felt close to. They wanted me to continue and since their ex-drummer wasn't in need of his set anymore, I simply went ahead and bought it. That was the beginning... It followed a long lasting odyssey throughout various bands, such as "Colours of Spring", "Headquarter", "One-Piece-Cake", "Paralaiz", just to name some until by the same coincidence I started to play the drums I happen to come to "Trashcanation". Actually all I wanted, was to return the key for the rehearsal room, while "Trashcanation" was remixing their new CD, when they recruited me immediately...

Still believe in rock’n’roll

I still remember when I just begun
With an old black six string an a favorite song
Someone taught me some chords
And how to play it one by one
I’ve been drivin’ my fingers all night long
by the spirit of woodstock
And the rolling stones
What should I say the road was so long

The sounds of generations
Came closer till they had to collide
I still believe in rock’n’roll
It’s in my heart and in my soul
I still believe in rock’n’roll
It’s in my heart and in my soul

I was born to be a punk
I’m always on a drunk
I don’t care what people say
I’m drinking in the old fashioned way

No matter what they say hey!
I’m gonna save my A.P.

I’m working in an old drinking shop
A hundred different bottles sorted up
Well I take some home to fine out my day
Well I love to drink in this ol’ fashioned way

no matter what they say hey hey!
I’m gonna save my A.P.
Oh oh oh I’m gonna save my A.P.

The doctor told me boy you need a cure
I told him all I want is something pure
A medicine to take it on the rocks
A therapy of high proof malted scotch

no matter what they say hey hey!
I’m gonna save my A.P.
Oh oh oh I’m gonna save my A.P.

I was born to be a punk
I’m always on a drunk
I don’t care what people say
I’m drinking in the old fashioned way

No matter what they say hey!
I’m gonna save my A. P.
Oh oh oh I’m gonna save my A.P.

I’m gonna save my A.P I’m gonna save my A.P.
I’m gonna save my A.P I’m gonna save my A.P.

Sounds Like:
down in the subways / rollercoaster / lonesome rider /
trashcanation / sound of the sea / by the light of the moon

down in the subways / my way / how can we still be friends /
my picture perfect wife / here comes the summer /
take me back to my home / shine / I'm gonna save my a.p. /
a mothers heart / waitin' on a sunny day

still believe in rock'n'roll / high on the hill / on higher ground /
the liar / home / this song / It's gonna be a good life / swan song /
lonesome rider / lead me out / is this love ain't worth living /
sound of the sea / alive / rain down / the deceiver

flash of inspiration / only the wings of a guardian angel / 4 ever /
the rain, the thunder and the lightning / trashcanation /
story of my life / take the train / the howling winds /
we are the light
