The Talking Stone are Michael Pallin (also member of NewVember) and Olaf Kujat (Microscape). In the years 1999/2000 both bands have played a couple of live gigs in common, whereat Pallin overtook the singing parts on Microscape songs mostly. Then the idea was born, to re-record some songs together.
2004 was a good point in time to begin the whole thing. Though there were a lot of new song ideas, which came more to the fore. For Pallin and Kujat it was very attractive to work more differently as in the case of NewVember or Microscape.
Shortly after that, Pallin and Kujat decided to name their band 'THE TALKING STONE'. A lot of songs were created and permanently developed, which could be fitted in to a concept-like, but contrasty scheme. That was reason enough to make an album. All those songs seems like stages or scenes of a journey full of great experiences. It was quickly decided to entitle that album: 'BON VOYAGE'.
In decembre Pallin and Kujat finished their work on the album.

The Talking Stone sind Michael Pallin (auch Bandmitglied von NewVember) und Olaf Kujat (Microscape). Im Rahmen einiger Liveauftritte in den Jahren 1999 und 2000 traten NewVember und Microscape gemeinsam auf, wobei Pallin auch überwiegend die Gesangsparts bei Microscape übernommen hatte. Daraufhin entstand schon die Idee, einige Microscape-Songs zusammen neu aufzunehmen.
2004 war für beide ein günstiger Zeitpunkt um die Sache in Angriff zu nehmen. Jedoch gab es auch viele neue Songideen, die immer mehr in den Vordergrund getreten sind. Für Pallin und Kujat war es ein großer Anreiz, ganz anders als bei NewVember und Microscape zu arbeiten.
Kurz darauf haben Pallin und Kujat beschlossen, ihre Band 'THE TALKING STONE' zu nennen. Es entstanden viele Songs, die sich unter ständiger Weiterentwicklung, zu einem konzeptartigen und dennoch kontrastreichem Schema zusammenfügen ließen.Das war Grund genug, daraus ein Album zu machen. All diese Songs scheinen wie Etappen oder Szenen einer erlebnisreichen Reise. Daher der Titel des Albums "BON VOYAGE".
Im Dezember haben Pallin und Kujat die Arbeit an ihrem Album abgeschlossen.
