About Me

BACKGROUND
This is my personal space for my own recordings/arrangements/compositions!
Please check out new videos of my performances. (Courtesy of Sarah Cheng-De Winne)
I'm a guitarist and composer fluent in Rock, Jazz, Pop, Blues, Broadway and Celtic music. I also arrange for 5 and 6 horn bands.
I started out playing in church, and i remember that that's where i got the opportunity to grow as a musician and as a person the most.
Ive also had the privilege of playing with amazing jazz musicians who are also fellow church members, such as Eugel, Joy, KL, Lung, Jordan Wei, and have been granted too many musical pardons for so many cockups and mistakes ive made. Of which, i am indebted to them always and so many others for giving me (or equipping me for) the chance to chase my dreams.
The vocals on Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas are by Joy Boo, a good friend, and if you really like her, (like i do), you can search on YouTube for her, her nickname's sympathique, and she has a whole lot more of recordings and videos to share. We did a few videos together with our other friend sean; the best song of the lot would be quando quando quando, which you also can find on YouTube.
I'm a proud user of a Reverend Club King HB , Garrison G30E , a Gibson Les Paul Special , which was a gift from my Dad, and an Ibanez Artwood AW15ECE .
BAND STUFF
I play guitar for Liz Fohl, a very talented singer songwriter based out of Boston MA. Check her music out here.
I was the lead guitarist for the Singaporean band Flybar .You can hear my work on some of the older songs on their myspace such as Beautiful Killer and She's So Lazy (where i play the harmonica).
I was a member of the NUS Jazz Band, volunteered with Campus Crusade's music ministry, and taught at Motivate Music School at Balmoral Plaza.
I'm currently studying at Berklee College of Music in the USA.Thanks for listening and cheers!

Older Stuff
Fall's Waltz
I did this for my Reason Project for MTECH class (yes, that class). After a failed techno attempt, (because in my opinion, Reason IS any DJ's No.1 weapon), i decided to dig deeper into my love for folk/irish music and came up with this.
This was also inspired by the Ridley Scott movie, Legend, that we watched at Film Scoring Club.
Dreaming of a White Christmas
This is cover of that old Christmas classic, using my semi hollow Reverend Club King HB guitar when i first got it 3 years ago. I wanted it to sound like the jazz fingerstyle playing of Martin Taylor and Eugel Yeo (of Barker Road Methodist Church, Singapore, pity he has no myspace!). The aim was to play melody and bass line and chord all at one go, on one guitar.
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
Featuring the beautiful and sweet vocals of Joy Boo, that is sure to melt anyone's heart. Its an older recording done for Christmas 2006.

Record Label: unsigned
Type of Label: Unsigned

Englishman In NY and Moments Apart

Hi everyone,I'm finally putting up two new songs here. One's a cover, and one's not, and both are products of my past semester at Berklee. I really must thank the people who have helped me out on both...
