I have been drumming since I was about 11 yrs old. Man, I feel old. I started in band at Oak Crest Middle School. Yes, I was a band geek. I wanted to play trumpet, but my mom said it was too expensive. Why not the drums? All you need to buy is a pair of sticks right? HA! WRONG! Anyways, I went up to East Central H.S. with the Golden Hornet Marching Band and the jazz band….GO HORNETS!!!! I had a blast in high school. I was on the snare line, section leader for a couple of years, and had numerous awards in various competitions. After high school I went into Music Education at UTSA, where I was a member of the Wind Ensemble. A transfer to the University of Houston got me into the Cougar Bands snare line. That was fun! During all that I also drummed for all kinds of bands from country to speed metal. I have also given private lessons, written music, and taught high school marching drumlines in San Antonio and Houston. Back in the day, marching season was just during football season so money was getting scarce. That’s when I joined the Air Force Reserves. Served my country and now I’m a civilian again. During that time I wasn’t doing much drumming. Since 2003, I have been in a few great bands. Bishop Lynch, Innuendo, Harmsway, and Dround were the main ones. All have great musicians. To further my musical endevours I took an audio engineering course taught by Marious Perron. I learned a lot of great things from him. I can now run live sound, studio recording and editing, as well as editing sound for video. I’m looking at building my own recording studio someday. Currently, I am having a blast drumming for two great bands, Harmsway and Dround. Check out the websites, harmswayrocks.com and myspace.com/dround. So if anyone needs a drummer or sound engineer for live gigs or studio let me know. You will not be disappointed. Laters!found this music layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com :: MyHotComments
