Chernobyl Chyldren

About Me

formed in late 1986, Chernobyl Chyldren consisted of a bunch of weird high school kids from Rockford, Illinois. The original line-up featured Bob Belt on guitar, Alex Hamilton on vocals, Erik Byrne on drums and Weasel Walter on bass. Soon after forming the group made their debut at a party before expanding to a five piece with guitarist Jeremy Kunz. In February 1987, the band recorded a demo minus Kunz, plus singer Brad Hollifield. Chernobyl Chyldren continued on writing a few weirder songs before morphing into the no wave band Javelin Bats in spring 1987 (feat. Kunz, Byrne and Walter).
