About Me

What do I do? Play music, sometimes singing backup or duet, mostly flute and some mandolin (not so much lately)... accordion and tambourine are fun as well. I spend a good amount of time with my musician friends, though we haven't been out playing around town much. Have been onstage, mostly for free (Peace concerts, Hempfest, etc.) or dinner and drinks at others, and a good share of open mics. It's all pretty low-key, but we get together every week come hell or high water.I live and work in Bellevue... my office is less than 10 minutes from home, but still I manage to be late in the mornings, since I have an unhealthy relationship with my snooze button. Own a television but don't watch "TV" much - only occasional movies and XBOX games, and I honestly don't miss it. I'd much rather be with others, get out in the world, or read a good book than sit staring at the TV. The computer isn't too different in ways I guess, but at least I'm in control of the content more or less... and it's a way for me to be in touch with old, new, and yet-to-be friends, and that's always a good thing. Oh yeah... and I'm also a hugger.Hey - thanks for reading this!! Say hello if you haven't already, whoever you are!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Musicians, old friends, short and stumpy girls like me to swap clothes with... other mountain bikers, people who live nearby, people far away to go visit. I'd love to meet a yodeler or a good dancer to teach me fun things. Dancing would be wonderful, actually! Anyone worth recommending who has a background in civil engineering, surveying, or AutoCAD. Girls that are more like "one of the guys" than prissy limp-wristed whiny drama queens. People who are proud of their scars and don't need to put on airs to feel valuable. People that don't avoid eye contact, and those who do, but can deal with me being the opposite. I can be a bit intense when I'm passionate about something, so tolerance (or appreciation?) of that is important. People who love life. And most importantly, people who love to love, in all kinds of wonderful ways.

My Blog

Regret

I never did call... I didn't send you my phone number either, for fear you might call when my boyfriend was nearby, and then I'd have to explain why I was reaching out for someone else again.&nbs...

Dear Mikey

You were a ray of sunshine in my life and heart, taken for granted but always a constant.  I always knew that you loved me, across all these 15+ years and the distances between us.  Though I...
