Live Wires

About Me

Live Wires are an established guitar-based 4 piece Rock Indie band from Manchester who have enjoyed much success in performing their own music to a varied and ever growing audience.
They are versatile and can perform smooth acoustic ballads and also have fun doing their loud electric sets that leave the crowd jumping and wanting more. After recently featuring at the 'in the city' festival as well as playing at pretty much all live venues across Manchester Live Wires recently appeared on Pure FM and had some great coverage from friends during the 2008 In The City festival.
They got some radio play and interview time as Matthew Eastwood and John Walker from the band went down and talked to them about the festival, how it went and also about Live wires music reaching the finals of a national songwriting competition.
With them already booked to play through the summer festival season for In The City 2009 & M.A.P.S. (music, art, poetry, and stuff) the only thing they have left to do now, is support some signed bands and see what reaction they get from the exposure in order to expand the fan-base nationwide.
Featuring Rik W. on Bass, Haz S. on Drums, John W. on lead Guitar/voc & Matthew E. Lead vocals/guitar.

Sounds Like: We sound like a modern take on a dual guitar rock band. We emerse ourselves in mancunia, and embrace the violent atmosphere we've come to know, constantly trying to write down our experiences and "ensphere" them within a song. Always trying to add bands we've played with, we continue our humble quest to gain recognition as a hard working and regular gigging band... mate!
