About Me

Singer/Songwriter with no one particular style of music. Jazz, Rock, and Pop would define most of it. Although I sing my own songs, I am open to other artists recording them. To me, it's more gratifying for the songs to be heard and hopefully, enjoyed, than for me to sing them. So essentially, it's really about the songs. These songs are a demo that show what I can do alone. Yet, I have worked with other artists, and find it to be a unifying experience; and I look forward to collaborating with others in the future.

Influences: Stevie, Gap Band, Motown, Tull, The Beatles, Janis, Chicago, Kenny Rankin, any jazz music, a lot of 60's and 70's music, classical, C&W, alternative, the standards, etc. - And oh! - last but not least - Pharrell. Favorite songs: "Golden Lady", "Girl Blue", "Summer Soft", "You've Got it Bad Girl", "Spring High" (Recorded by Ramsey Lewis), "I Can't Help It" (Recorded by Michael Jackson) and "It's A Shame" (Recorded by The Spinners) all written by Stevie. "High Speed" by Tupac and The Outlaws, "Ju Ju", by Billy Jones, Recorded by Jack McDuff, "Hey Girl", by Donny Hathaway, "Love's Awaiting Just Around the Bend", by The Main Ingredient, "More Today Than Yesterday", by Spiral Staircase, and "From the Beginning", by E.L.P. or Dokken.
Sounds Like: I can't give the music a category because it's more diverse than one category can outline it to be. Judge for yourself. Note: "Sounds So Good" is a tribute to Stevie Wonder.
Record Label: Unsigned
