Rory Novak

Rory began teaching himself how to play the piano and read and write music at the tender age of 7. Since then, Rory has learned how to play several instruments such as: guitar, drums, bass, and many others.Rory has studied Congolese music with Masters Titos Sompa and Samba Ngo. He also studied classical Middle Eastern drumming with Souhail Kaspar.He attended UCSC in the early '90s where he developed his own major: Computer Music, with the help of David Cope, Gordon Mumma, and Kevin Karplus. It was there where he honed his chops in the fine art of recording under the masterful guidance of Peter Q. Elsea.Currently, Rory is producing various artists including himself. He is working on his first solo album and developing a live act which he hopes to tour with.
