The night club is nearly pitch-black as Trajik confidently saunters across the room donning his darkest shades. The minutes until stage time draw nearer. Trajik is in no rush. He smoothly works his way around the venue greeting supporters. His moniker which boasts Trajik as The Prince of the West coast implies a haughty demeanor; but as he hugs one of his fans it’s clear to see The Prince is not above his subjects, but among friends. *** “Everyone looks at tragedy as a negative thing. The name is a testament to my past. I got through the tragic events in my life, so I take them as a blessing.” Trajik says. Born Eric C. Turner Jr., Trajik grew up in the heart of Los Angeles. This amazing rapper/song-writer/producer has been catching the ear of his audience for years with his unique voice, lyric choice, and dope West Coast beats. Trajik uses true-story experience to create his music. His struggles inspired “Hustlaz Anthem”, a song dedicated to the struggles which can be found in any hood and across the world. The song “How We Livin” focuses on the brighter side of Los Angeles, transforming negatives to positives. * * * At the age of 23, Trajik’s passion for performing has allowed him to open for performers such as Jon B, Naughty By Nature, Sir-Mix-A-Lot, Baby Bash and Ying Yang Twins. Trajik’s performance provides a swag new artist rarely possess. With energy levels through the roof, he climbs on top of speakers and dances with female fans in the crowd. Chants of “Trajik” and “Prince” are heard from the crowd. Trajik ends his set with a smile on his face and a look in his eyes that says “crown me”.
