Mike Ribeiro was drafted by the Montreal Canadians with the 45th pick in the 1998 NHL entry draft. Also in 1998 he played for the Rouyn-Noranda of the QMJHL where he played 69 games and he scored 67 goals with 100 assists and he had 137 penalty minutes. In 1999 he played his first 19 games with the Canadians. He had 1 goal and one assist. He also spent 3 games with Quebec in the AHL, and he played for Canada in the world junior championship where he had 2 assist. In 2001 I played 43 games with the Canadians. he had 8 goals and 10 assists. In 2002 he played 52 games with the Canadians and he scored 5 goals and had 12 assists. In 2003 he played 81 games with the Canadians he had 20 goals and 45 assists. In 2005 he scored 16 goals and had 35 assists in 79 games. Last year he was traded from Montreal to the Dallas Stars. He played 81 games and scored 18 goals and had 41 assists. He missed one game because he could not get a work Visa in time to play with the Stars at the start of the season. In the playoffs last year he had 3 assists in 7 games with the Stars.
