Bilko's Krazy Combo started out busking the mean streets of London and as far north as Birmingham, and found the world was still flat!.Even Busking outside the Klubfoot (Claredon Hotel,Hammersmith)a few years before hitting it's sweaty stage.Whilst busking, on the fringes of Covent garden, they stumbled across a unicycling escapologist comedian(then unknown),by the name of Eddie Izzard.....what a nutter!....he wasn't even wearing a rubber glove on his head... ...so missed out on the chance of joining the worlds most obscure neo-rockabilly band.In fact the band missed out on so many breaks,purely because they didn't trust the music biz,and wanted to remain a CULT band.... they almost acheived this....just one letter wrong! These guys got up to some Krazy antics...throwing buckets of fish and dried pasta(and that was on the tube,before the gig)The singer/song writer/lead guitarist,Berni, broke both ankles....whilst tying his shoe laces.. on entering a revolving door....not a wise thing....but that's rock'n'roll! Bilko's played the Klubfoot, about once a month,from may 87 until the sleazehole closed it's doors for good. Their "point of no return",Klubfoot vol 5 and Best of Klubfoot,took them into the British indie charts for a short spell in 1988. They also played many festivals,including the Night of the Long Knives and the Weekend of the Long Knives. There is a rumour that Bilko's may reform.. the original klubfoot line up.
