living off a diet of fresh beer and curry, Daniel J. Logan has been living the rock n' roll lifestyle as a professional musician, engineer and producer for over three years.
He spends a lot of his time playing drums, guitar, banjo (badly) and mandolin and has been in a variety of line-ups, performing around North England, South Wales, The Isle of Man and America!
Dan gets up to lots of stuff including:
Working as a freelance sound engineer and producer, normally in a recording studio in Cheshire,
Performing solo and with singer/songwriter Dayve Dean,
Getting ready to play a big gig in Suffolk for musician and composer Stuart Stevens and his band,
Mixing Radio adverts for broadcast on a variety of stations including Signal 1&2, Liverpool Radio City and Smooth (he has been known to voice them occasionally!),
And Dan has been recording tracks with Thea Gilmore for her latest project - for details check out her website...
In 2008 Dan was asked to present two radio shows on Staffordshire and Cheshire's new commercial radio station, Focal Radio. Dan worked with a team that included local radio legend Sam Plank (who once almost shot Dan with an 18th century flintlock pistol!). Sadly Focal radio ended in 2009 but keep an eye on www.thedanloganshow.co.uk for various snippits of stuff and things...The rest of his time is spent in the pub
Dan has been fortunate to work with people such as Cameron Blackwood (who has recently been working on the new Alabama 3 album), Nigel Stonier (who produces Thea Gilmore and has worked with Sandi Thom, Lindisfarne and almost everybody else it seems...!) John Altman (who plays nasty Nick in East Enders - though John is very nice and happens to know Dan's cousin Jim) as well as a host of other industry professionals and in 2007 played in "The Requiem Band" with The Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra, Conducted by Michael Lloyd (English National Opera).During the last 4 years Dan has also had fun working with up-and-coming rapper TBK and his producer Jason Estridge, played in New York when he went out to the USA with a Birmingham rock band, spent some time producing an artist in Cardiff (creating a cool mix of asian and english folk-rock!) and much more stuff too!Dan also plays session drums and percussion.
The above samples are just some of the varied music Dan has been writing and producing for the last few years...
If you are a folk act looking for a producer then please feel free to talk to Dan about it...

Cheers!
