MySpace Editor by purple-guide.comEarly in the spring of 1969, underwater photographers Peter Gimbel, Stan Waterman, and Ron and Valerie Taylor began a 12,000 mile adventure to obtain footage of the Great White Shark. Their journey begins in Durban, South Africa, where they venture across the Indian Ocean, trailing whaling boats and groups of sharks before finally encountering the Great White in South Australia. The team captures the Great White on 35mm film for the first time, delivering groundbreaking footage, and a glimpse into the life of the ocean’s most mysterious animal.
