There are so many things that interest me. I love to pull weeds...can you believe it? I enjoy art, all kinds so a few hours at an art gallery is a special treat. I'm trying to learn to play the guitar and the violin but I have to admit that it's slow-going when teaching myself. I'm interested in anything my kids are up to and lately I have a fascination with european history.
I'd like to meet my mother when she was a little girl and maybe I'd be able to understand some of the things she did, said and felt. I'd like to meet Presidednt Bush because I'd like to try to understand what it must be like to have to make decisions which will certainly bring much debate. I'd like to meet Monet, such beautiful works of art MUST have come from someone extraordinary!
My favorite music is country music. I love Martina McBride, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, KEITH URBAN (woo hoo!) and Faith Hill, just to name a few. Christian music always makes feel closer to God and I love Twila Paris especially if my daughter Tracie is singing one of her songs in church...I always cry!!! My brother Kevin plays the harmonica and has introduced me to jazz which up until now hasn't really been a style I've enjoyed but he's so good that I listen often..check out his "my space" page, I think you'll be amazed! I also enjoy music from the 60's and 70's...brings back a lot of memories and those sentimental feelings of first loves and forever friends that I love to re-visit every now and then. Kelly Clarkson has won me over as well.
Wow, there are several movies that I watch over and over again. The Big Chill is one of my favorites as is Grease. I love the sentimental and romantic films like Pride and Prejudice, Disney's, Beauty and the Beast and Romeo and Juliet. A good Sci-fi flick captures my attention as well, I love the whole Star Wars collection, The Matrix (anything Keanu does it for me) and Star Trek, The Wrath of Khan. Pretty Woman, Under the Tuscan Sun and Red Eye are also on my list.
My favorite T.V. show is House. I love the the writing on that show. Honorable mention would have to go to Grey's Anatomy and Lost. This year I found "The Tudors", so that one is absolutely on my list of favorites. I also look forward to Survivor and this year I may be hooked on Smarter Than a 5th Grader...very entertaining (and humiliating)!
I love to read historical romances and my favorites are by Diana Gabaldon, they are AWESOME!!! Some other authors I enjoy reading would be Elaine Coffman, Teresa Medieros, Stephanie Laurens and Christina Dodd. My very first historic romance was Kathleen Woodiwiss', The Wolf and the Dove about 22 years ago...I was hooked! Okay, my new favorite is Stephanie Meyers! AMAZING writer...run out and get the "Host", you won't be sorry.
I have 4 heros, Tracie for her strength and sensitivity. Steven for his wisdom and kindness. Ryan for his persistence and loyalty, and Bob for his capacity to love unconditionally.
