About Me

Too many social networks and websites: I figured since I haven't updated this site in a long time, I guess there are too many Internet sites to take care of:
http://www.queensryche.net
The German Empire Myspace Site
Äfa's Myspace Site
WKW
Facebook
So in order to narrow it down, please refer to the queensryche.net website or find me on Facebook @ Äfa Angelhardt for up-to-date news :-)
I am founder of the German Queensryche Empire and Webmistress of http://www.queensryche.net with contacts to all the International Empires - we are like one big family and are meeting in both Europe and the Promised Land of Seattle.
Besides Queensryche, I am into Progressive music, and one day in the fall of 2007 I went to see Fates Warning and was swept off my feet by a bunch of Norwegians who call themselves Pagan's Mind. I consider their "God's Equation" album another "Operation Mindcime", it is a masterpiece in music history and I can't get enough of their music. Ever since that fateful day PM have not only been chasing my Ryche record, but with 8 concerts in a little over a year in 08/09 and a trip to Norway we actually became friends. In 2010 I had the honor to be on their Benelux Alienation mini-tour through Holland and Belgium - such great guys and so much fun!!! Curious? Go check them out!
Other than that, I like bands like Vanden Plas, Dream Theater, Metal (Slayer, Overkill, Slipknot, Ministry), Prince and Abba and yes, this combination works just fine for me, hahaha ;-). I even have fun humming along to tunes of several Disney songs (though I prefer the English over the German version ;-) and meeting Kajagoogoo after 25 years in 2008 was a dream come true! Also, Dan Reed (formerly Dan Reed Network) re-emerged and I got to see him 20 years later - what a great inspiration he is!
I am crazy about my cats and an animal welfare activist - at least I am trying, my job keeps me quite busy. My love and respect for animals is also the reason why I have been a vegetarian for several years.
I enjoy reading (mostly spiritual literature), blue skies, the sun and the ocean. I am a certified scubadiver and going on a dive is the most peaceful experience - too bad the salty waters are so far away.
My passion is traveling the world, such as backpacking to Asia - I have once been touring Thailand all by myself, it was a unique experience and the best trip I've ever had. I also love driving around in the US, enjoy the different landscapes and metropolises. Thanks to Ryanair and the other low fare carriers, I regularly hop on a plane for weekend trips to different European cities - always on the go (or is it the run?).... Oh, and did I mention I am scared of flying? No Kidding!
More questions? Visit http://www.queensryche.net for tons of Ryche related stuff and my website at http://www.aefa.de (although it hasn't been updated much in the past 10 years).
