About Me

Masthead Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com! Click here to make your own! I have been playing music since I was 15 and thats quite some time ago now! Most of my musical 'career' has been as a singer and blues harmonica player , but around 8 years ago I discovered the Native American Flute and this has provided me with a different aspect of musical expression, and yet has utilised the improvisational skills of playing blues harp. 95% of the music I play on the NAF is created in the moment and is unrepeatable.
I have recorded 4 Cds
The first 2 tracks on myspace are from my most recent "On The Edge Of Magic" which with the exception of 'Dreaming Heart' are solo flute improvisations.
The second 2 are from an earlier release "Calling The Windspirits"
Cds are available for sale please contact me for details I can take credit card through Paypal. Thanks for visiting!.

Follow your bliss.
If you do follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while waiting for you, and the life you ought to be living is the one you are living.
When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in the field of your bliss, and they open the doors to you.
I say, follow your bliss and dont be afraid... and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be.
If you follow your bliss, doors will open for you that wouldn't have opened for anyone else.

Band Members: Just me!
Influences: My influences seem neverending, anyone I've ever heard play
R Carlos Nakai's Canyon Trilogy was the first Native American Flute I heard and is still one of my favourites.
Then there's Douglas Spotted Eagle, Joseph Fire Crow, Mary Youngblood, Nigel Shaw, Bill Miller, Robert Mirabal, Andrew Vasquez, Skychasers. Thanks to them all...
And while I'm thanking people... I should thank the flutemakers for creating the instruments.;- Whiteriver - that was the name on the first flute I bought in Williams Az .;
- My friend Raymond Redfeather at Heartwood Flutes;
-Matt and Tom at Stellar Flutes - the drone flutes I have had off them are stunning! ;
-Coyote Oldman ;-
Steve Frost at Nightstar Flutes and a couple I have made myself! Each instrument has its own personality and this influences the songs that are created on it
..And lastly thanks to the South West states of the USA for captivating my soul, giving me musical inspiration, and finally providing me with a spiritual home.

I think the message of this video is really worth hearing!

Sounds Like: The music sounds like me, but in all probability it also sounds like my influences - R Carlos Nakai, Brian Akipa etc -though this has not been a conscious act.
Take a flute, add reverb/delay and the outcomes are inevitably similar! It is the delivery and feel that create the major differences
