About Me

Citizens for Humanity is a non-political, non-denominational local organization based upon youth orientated progressive action for both local and global issues. Created in 2005, Citizens is the brainchild of one Frederick student with the aspirations to better the world. 'Citizens' has been successful in raising awareness in the community about the growing Darfur crisis and has raised thousands of dollars for humanitarian aide. While continuing to fight for and raise awareness for Darfur and Sudan, Citizens has also partnered with TACT to help fund raise a walk to benefit children with autism and their families, now an annual event every April.
Citizens for Humanity is just that, a group of concerned citizens working to bring both the local and global community together in an effort to support human rights and work harmoniously to solve humanitarian issues. Citizens is not a single issue group, and is open to suggestions, ideas and issues that concern the community.
