B.L.O.O.D (Blood Love Overcomes Our Depressions)BACKGROUND: The Bloods originated at the Sentennial High School from the Piru gang, which took its name from Piru Street in Compton, California. It formed to protect members from the Crips, and then other gangs with the same motive started using the names Piru and Bloods to signify alignment with the main gang. Although the Bloods are a smaller group than the Crips, they are potentially dangerous, particularly when present in any numbers.The Bloods present a significant threat to correctional administrators not only due to their predatory and violent behavior, but more importantly due to their intense rivalry with the Crips. As do the Crips, the Bloods have a strong fascination with assault-type weapons.The Dipset Street Gang is a Bloods affiliated...They wear purple bandanas or "flags" and Diplomats shirts, fitted hats, and chains.The Pirus or the Piru Street Boys are an African American street gang based out of Compton, California.Is the gang culture that emerged in Los Angeles in the '60s, once reserved for notorious street hoodlums, evolving into a peep show on the Internet? Since last spring, the Crips and the Bloods -- the most infamous gangs to rise from South Central* Always listen before you talk, look before you walk, and observe before you stalk.

* In war, strive for rendering the enemy harmless, disrupting the enemy's alliances, and attacking before you are attacked.
* Silence and observation are major weapons in defense.
