I am a newspaper writer and musician based in Dayton, Ohio. I currently write about music, stand-up comedy, comic books and other general arts subjects for the Dayton Daily News and ActiveDayton.com. In the past I worked as arts & entertainment editor and music editor for Impact Weekly (previously known as The Dayton Voice). I have also contributed articles to In These Times, Sponic 'Zine, Only Local Music and Moo Magazine. //
I am a drummer and have been a member of The New Creatures, The Hope Fools, Guided By Voices, 3 Dream Bag, Swearing At Motorists, Johnny Smoke and Big Marauder. I have been a member of Kentucky Overflow since 2000. In 2006, I began playing and recording with the Lonesome Tumblers, led by Billy Catfish. You can catch us out and about sporadically. In early 2008 I began working with Kyle Melton and Darryl Robbins on a project called The Smug Brothers, which has been going well. Look for more news on that soon.
