The band started in a shitty melbourne nightclub one night when Tj and Dave were having a drunken discussion about pop punk.
This discussion turned into them talking about writing a song about having a 69 with your in-laws.
And there it was, the start of Half Way There.
Tj and Dave soon teamed up with drummer Matt and it all started to go from a drunk night to reality.
The band released thier first demo, Bring Back The Bounce, in early 2008.
After a few sit down talks, the band decided if they were gonna take it all seriously they needed to get more serious about the music, so they did. They changed thier name to Kid Cadence and started searching for thier own sound, which they did find.
