Mazen Bandoleros was born in Nassyria city which is built on the ruins of the ancient city of Ur capital of the Sumer civilisation, this was one of the first civilisations in the Mesopotamian valley.Mazens sumerian ancestors invented the first written language in the year 3700 BC, the lyre or (Ur lyre) was discovered in the sumerian ruins, it is dated back to 4750 BC, which was before the great pyramids of Egypt and the stonehenge in England.Sumerland is known as the land of music and singing. Mazen was born in the shadows of this ancient heritage, he began playing the guitar at age 16, with his different schoolbands, his father been his school principal had encouraged him all the way. Mazen established his first band FRANCO ARAB in 1976, the reportior was folklores of Iraqi jewish ancestories. He later became a member of the prestigiuos Iraqi Musicians Union and Iraqi Artists Union.Today, his music includes arabic, rumba flamenco and rai, he combines all these different genres to creat what is internationally known today as GYPSY FUSION, the style captures the traditional gypsy rhythms while blending the sounds from the middle east, latin america and spain.Studies:Started playing guitar in 1976 in school corps in Al Nasria provinceStudies in music, Academy of music.
