I'm a mom of two awesome kids, & find myself almost constantly marveling at their perspective of the world. Started dating in 2008 & consider myself extremely lucky to have found an awesome guy with whom to spend time when our wacky schedules allow. Working 1.5 jobs doesn't help with our calendar wrangling. One job pays most of the bills and the other gives me my people fix. (Would you like that toasted today?) Hoping to get back to school at some point as well as get all the renovations done around my "new" house. I like helping others, hugging & hanging with friends, reading, sleeping, and watching movies. I enjoy singing to my Karaoke Revolution, trying to DDR with my PS/2 and playing sports with my Wii. I love computers & playing volleyball. Doesn't matter to me if the volleyball is indoor or outdoor, on grass, court or sand -- just let me play coed so I can hit & block off the high net! :)
I've also been playing Everquest off & on since Dec-2002. My primary toons are Katrinnie (aka Katri) and Katika (aka Kat) so "Kat" is what my friends call me both in & out of game. Actually all my EQ toons start with Kat. Seems kinda fitting given I've had that nickname since I started on the 'net in Sept-1990. Back then maybe only 3% of the 'net population was female IRL & peeps actually bothered to follow standard 'nettiquette to avoid being flamed. Fifteen years later, society's flooded with n00bs who think everything should be dumbed down, proper use of grammar should be ridiculed, & education isn't important. No one seems to consider the fact that dumbing things down results in future generations continuing to want even lower standards, & thus now low standards become even lower.
