A Little Bit About Myself...
An entertainment producer, musician, lyricist, entrepreneur; all of these titles only describe general elements that is Chike Ojukwu. “I love music; I see myself as a modern-day David, but understand that David’s talent was influenced by God, so my music isn’t the driving force of what I do. God is.â€
Chike Ojukwu had a heart for music at an early age, and began experimenting with beat programming around the age of 15. After receiving countless accolades from family and high school peers, he decided to pursue a career in music production. He crossed paths with Titus, who still created secular rap at the time, and Chike began creating music for Titus and his label. When Titus made the decision to follow Christ, he broke the news to Chike, who continued to create music for him. However, Chike had not made a spiritual change or a change with his music until he performed with Titus later that year. After being inspired by many Christian artists, such as Json, Flame, J.R., and Cho’zyn, he dedicated his life and music to Christ, aiding fellow Christian artists with his production.
Chike now has a vision for a record label, with the grace of Christ, to reach the world, who otherwise would shun the Gospel. However, he believes that God is using Hip-Hop, which the world has perverted, for a witnessing tool that would soften people’s hearts to a living God, and the only person who saves men from sin, Jesus Christ.
“Hip-Hop is the most forward genre of music that conveys a message to its listeners in an evangelistic style; and it has been distorted to satisfy the hearts of the world. But as Christian artists, we are created to be an offence to sin, and Hip-Hop would be the best outlet to reach those who hearts are hardened to the traditional spill of the Gospel, but the Gospel nonetheless.â€
