learned concert band percussion at an early age by my dad,played concert snare/percussion until about 15 years old.joined glagow based art school combo perspex whiteout in 1992,releasing 2ep's(imaginary records)and an album which was never released.after the band split,i was lucky enough to be asked to join fellow glaswegian's thrum,with whom i was lucky enough to record/tour from '93/'95 releasing several singles and one album(fire records).then joined the ranters(who later became vera cruz)before moving to london in 1998.after finding my feet with various bands/artists, i met simon alpin around 2001 and have been working with him pretty much ever since.this work culminated in the release of simon's album'on the wire' in june 2007(ravine records).inbetween times i have contributed percussion on willard grant conspiracy's 2003 album 'regard the end' and also played drums on danny george wilson's(grand drive) 2005 solo album 'the famous mad mile'.having moved back to scotland in 2004, i have just recently started stepping up my workload and have started working with london based singer/songwriter kathleen haskard,as well as my involvement with simon j alpin.
