DEBRA MILKE

"Hi, my name is Debra Milke, I was born in Berlin-Lichterfelde (Germany, Military hospital of the US Force), on March 10th, 1964. On military assignment my family and I moved to Montana (USA). In April 1983, I met my future husband Mark Milke. We got married in November 1984. The happiest day of my life was October 2nd, 1985, the birth of our first and only son Christopher. The sadest day of my life was the day, when my 4 year old son was found shot to death in the Arizona desert (12/02/1989). From that day on, my life had been shattered forever and will never be the same again. I not only lost the precious years of being a young woman and mother, but was brutally informed that my only child had been murdered and was arrested immediately without a shred of evidence. I was sentenced to death for a crime I did not commit nor did I ever conspire with anyone to do so. I have been fighting through the court system for 17 years now, never giving up hope that the truth will come out eventually. If all the efforts of my mother and so many people throughout the world should fail, then I would like to ask all my supporters to bring this injustice to light so that my suffering would not have been in vain and help pave the road for no recurrence of the experiences I had to endure as an innocent person.”
The purpose of this myspace page is to bring the Debra Jean Milke case to the attention of a broad spectrum of viewers and to unravel the web of inconsistencies, myths, and half-truths surrounding the murder of Christopher Milke and his mother's conviction thereof.
01. Jim Styers and Roger Scott, convicted murderers of Debra Milkes son, accuse each other of the actual killing, with Styers claiming Debras innocence from the very beginning and Roger Scott recanting an earlier implication given under severe police duress!
02. There has never been a confession by Debra Milke.
03. The alleged confession was neither tape-recorded nor witnessed by any third party.
04. The alleged confession was type-written( transcribed) days later; police detective Armando Saldate’s hand written notes were then thrown away by Saldate himself.
05. Prosecutor Noel Levy lies when he says there is a confession by Debra Milke.
06. Exonerating evidence for Debra was persistently denied during trial by Judge Cheryl Hendrix.
07. Official prison psychologist, Dr. Garcia-Bunuel, attested in a later affidavit that Debra Milkes psychological profile definitely excludes her involvement in the murder of her son. He was never heard in court during trial, but substituted by another psychiatrist who had never seen or spoken with Debra at all.
08. A lie detector test, asked for by Debra herself, proved that Debra was not lying when insisting on her innocence. The test was not admitted in court.
09. Arresting Police Detective Armando Saldate has the sizeable record of at least 25 cases with falsified or downright invented confessions, 5 of which never came to trial and earned him severe disciplinary reprimands.
10. Prosecutor Noel Levy sentenced Mr. Ray Krone to 10 years in Death Row. Ray Krone left prison in 2002 as a free man after a DNA test proved he was not guilty?
11. Judge Cheryl K. Hendrix who sentenced Debra Milke to death row received a public censure from the Supreme Court and in 1997 was dismissed for hearing criminal cases due to careless decisions violating the canons of the Judicial Conduct.
12. According to Arizona law the word of a police officer is considered valid evidence in order to sentence someone to Death Row; if there is no other witness, who could prove the contrary?
13. Since the first execution date scheduled for 01/29/1998, 9 years have passed within the district appeals court in Arizona. 9 years of diligent preparation and diligent waiting to the brink of exhaustion? On November 26, 2006, Federal District Judge Robert C. Broomfield chose the easy way out of a home-bound dilemma of alienation among his peers and denied the petition, to which he ruled favorably only 2 years earlier in a number of issues, now relegating the case to the 9th Circuit Federal Court in San Francisco - the very last stage of an effective ruling to save Debra Milke from execution.
