Italian Summer Part 2 - Eurocrime Night
Doors open at 7.00 p.m. Films start at 8.00 p.m.
Our Italian Summer Season continues as we turn our attention to Eurocrime, the violent and narcissistic breed of police thrillers that blazed across the cinema screens of Italy in the mid 70s. Come and immerse yourselves in a world of brutal criminals, unstoppable cops, screeching car chases, machine guns and plenty of good old-fashioned fistfights.
The main event for the night will the little seen, but 100% essential, Eurocrime classic “Rome Armed To The Teeth”. This blistering thriller pits the two heavyweight starts of Eurocrime against each other, in the good corner is the ultimate cop Maurizio Merli, while in the bad corner we have hunchbacked villain Tomas Milian. The streets of Rome run red with blood in director Umberto Lenzi’s unforgettable thriller.
As always we’ve also got a full supporting line-up to keep your entertained through the night, including an amazing Eurocrime short film that’s a loving tribute to the genre, as well as being action-packed in it’s own right. There’s an all Eurocrime edition of our regular Trailer Trash, a Eurocrime quiz, Eurocrime soundtracks playing through the night and much, much more…
