RADIOCARBON (since 2002) is now Rashid, Amru and Hafiz; another calls for indie bands from Setiawangsa, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Like others, they also keep telling themselves that they are playing music; which in this context, what came from their hearts. No genre may be specified. That's the truth; no others.
Associated with what we called as entertainment, they likely to breed their joyment into the scene by taking the faithful initiative by expressing their music whenever they feel like to. Towards their efforts, now they have been in the scene for about a quite long period, composed (or still composing) yet released for about 5 albums (not to mentioned about the unreleased materials), more than 15 compilations, more than 20 split-releases with any other indie bands, more than 50 on-stage performances – including those in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and not to be forgotten, around Malaysia, and many other achievements throughout these years. Most of their songs had been played by several radio stations – including one of the streaming-ones; GARAGE Online Streaming Radio (UK).
The history popped-out by good allies, Rashid & Adznil, scratched from the lowly band playing in a move – ‘99 were the days – jamming themselves by some cover songs from their favourite bands. Fun-hangout though! Later recruited two other members; Faizal and Hafizi. Recorded their debut songs and started compiling stuffs. The cheers brought up more by the forthcoming of the 5th, Andy Khoo. 2002 was the year they came into a proper existence.
As they too can’t avoid problems, like other bands, they split-up into their own ways. Later rebuilt by the effort of Rashid, and now they have been into “re-existence†by the latest line-up. Keep playing as they once were – they're back!
New songs, new styles – the very new RADIOCARBON!
Interviewed for IRAMA Fanzine, GARAGE Online Streaming Radio, etc...
