About Me

**************************ATTENTION************************* *Keyboardist and Drummer wanted. Check out our blog for details! ************************************************************ *

Manteum founding members, K.C. Conner and Jake Stagg have been writing and playing together in various bands and projects since 1993. By 2005 they had relocated to Florida where they built their own recording studio and began writing all new material. Musicians have come and gone over the past three years but the core writing duo has always stayed intact. After some delays and restarts, the recording of the debut album for Manteum has begun. Jake and K.C. are writing all of the material but they plan on having some musician friends joining them for the recording sessions. The music is heavy, taking influence from many progressive and power metal acts. Yet the vocals and song arrangements still manage to sound distinct. The album will contain a three song conceptual story that attempts to explain the band’s name and explore the supernatural and the afterlife. Manteum plan to finish writing and get the debut album completed in early 2009. After that, they look forward to possibly booking some live shows to support it. Of course, when that happens, they will need to assemble an awesome group of musicians, but all in due time. The band has kept a blog of the studio construction and they will continue to keep a running blog of the recording process and all other goings on. Thank for stopping by and checking us out. Check back often for the latest news and feel free to leave a comment, tell the guys what you think or just say hi. And remember… STAY METAL!
