Calvin Cornel is a one of a kind DJ spinning Funky, Lounge, Disco and Electro House as well as the hottest blends of hip hop which is thrown into one amazing set when you hear the sounds of Calvin Cornel on the turntables!Born and raised in Chicago, Calvin Cornel began his DJ career at the age of 15. Being inspired by his uncle from Sound Society DJs in the West Coast, he started his own mobile DJ company providing musical entertainment for school dances, weddings, and corporate events. After gaining years of experience, Calvin began to work in the club scene.In 2002, a new once a month dance club opened up, Atmosphere Dance Club. He was given the opportunity to be a resident DJ. Currently, Calvin Cornel is a resident DJ at Spoon (1240 N. Wells in Chicago) spinning alongside B96 Mixmaster DJ Flipside ft MC RedHot on the mic. Calvin also spins every Tuesday at K Lounge and Wednesdays at Waterhouse. Working with La Famiglia Entertainment has helped him spin at clubs such as Spoon, O Lounge, Sound-Bar, Vision, M Lounge, NY Lounge, K Lounge, Wet, Waterhouse, Zero Gravity, Atmosphere Dance Club and the list goes on.
