About Me

My son is the most adorable kid in the world, and I am married to the best man a woman could ask for. I have my B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I am a member of the armed forces. I start grad school next fall. I fight for what I believe in. I am a walking contradiction. I'm a tomboy but I never go out without makeup. I'm a feminist and a traditionalist. I support the troops but not the war. I have champaigne taste and a beer budget. I have strong ambition but don't know what I want to do with my life. Likes: Animals, children, family, lazy days, spontaneity, cars, old school video games, books, a lot of other dorky stuff. Dislikes: Cruelty, hatred, stereotyping, being untrue to your heart.

My Interests

Shooting pool, shopping, cars, psychology, sociology, people watching, video games, and stuff

I'd like to meet:

People who know how to accept others and love the differences in life, rather than expect everyone to be just like them. People who are there for eachother, who don't judge, and who call when they say they will.

Music:

Rock and country

Movies:

I love action flicks and comedies mainly. I'm a comic book and anime fan, so movies such as Spiderman and Fantasic Four were right up my alley. I love psychological thrillers like Silence of the Lambs and Identity too. Oh, and I love Disney movies. Yeah......I'm not afraid of being a kid at heart still.

Television:

I love anime, and I am always watching adult swim. I am a huge fan of Futurama, Family guy, Shin Chan, Venture Brothers, ATHF and 80's classics like Roseanne, Full House, and Fresh Prince of Bel Aire. And much to everyone's bane, I have seen every episode of Law and Order. I can't help it, they talk about crazy people! My latest obsession.....HOUSE!

Books:

I love books, but I don't think I'll read any for a while. I'm a little burned out on reading after so many years of school.

Heroes:

I think it takes more courage to do the right thing than the easy thing. Anyone who can do that is a hero in my eyes. I don't believe in your traditional "hero". Heroes are: single parents who work two jobs and still find time to take their kids to the park, friends who stick by your side, people who challenge authority, people who stop to help you change a flat tire, fathers who are loyal to their children, step parents that treat stepchildren as their own, and of course, police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and the military.

Grins and giggles

Well, we are putting the baby on a schedule, and so far it seems to be doing wonders for him. He gets 4 three hour naps each day, about 8 feedings, and playtime inbetween. At night he gets a bath, sto...

Sleep, glorious sleep

Why didn't anyone tell us that "tucking down" on a baby boy may help keep him from peeing outside his diapers and all over his clothes? I read that suggestion in my "What to Expect" book, and all of a...

Waiting

Sigh. Waiting sucks. We went to preregister at the hospital today, which was last on the list of things to do before baby comes. Granted, we have a few more things we want to get done first. Still we ...
