ETHO real name Ryan Lewis was born jan 21, 1985 in Leesburg, VA. He moved to Winston- Salem, NC (the TreFo) at age six. Etho is short for Etheopian (skinny man). Growin up Etho got into music heavy. not only just by watching BET but by playing instruments and workin as a audio recording tech at his church. Etho started rap in his teen years starting at his high school North Forsyth. Sitting back on the school halls he listen to other people freestylin and battle. Later Him with his partners SONNY ME, VIETNAM-V, MR. GOODFELLA, FIRST LADY ASHLEY, AND MONEY, formed the group Bang Squad. Everyone brings a different flavor to the group but Etho brings a crunk fast Twister/ Bone Thugs flow. Also he has a way with bringing it down a bit to spit about real issues and has a thing for talkin to the ladies on the beat. He gets his inspiration from rappers such as Bone Thugs, Jay-Z, lil-Wayne, and above all T.I.
"I love all kinds of music but rap has always been my way to release what i feel. It ranges from my soft loving side to show girls how i want to be there all, all the way to my thug at heart side where when im angry you feel the impact in the lyrics over the beat i use. I don't spit for beef with anyone i do it cause its what i love and its my get away from the drama that life throws at me.
