umm, my family, school, mi familia, work, Colorado, eventually med school, chat, did I mention my family? ...etc. :) Just the usual stuff
Random things I do: road rage, shop, bitch, cry, love, hate, crush, smile; pictures... memories to be cherished.
I find it funny to see how people change in life. I *know* I've changed a lot in my life. So, I'm leaving this space open for all those people who I may have known, but no longer know. Cheers to who you were then, who you are now, and who you will be... but I don't promise to necessarily like all three.
EVERYTHING, lol.okay so someONE *coughs*Mike*coughs* complained about lag.... and it had to do with my myspace... :(SO! *insert awesome song here*
La Belle Dame Sans Mercy
~Keats
'O WHAT can ail thee, knight-at-arms,
Alone and palely loitering?
The sedge is wither'd from the lake,
And no birds sing.
'O what can ail thee, knight-at-arms,
So haggard and so woe-begone?
The squirrel's granary is full,
And the harvest 's done.
'I see a lily on thy brow
With anguish moist and fever dew;
And on thy cheeks a fading rose
Fast withereth too.'
'I met a lady in the meads,
Full beautiful—a faery's child,
Her hair was long, her foot was light,
And her eyes were wild.
'I made a garland for her head,
And bracelets too, and fragrant zone;
She look'd at me as she did love,
And made sweet moan.
'I set her on my pacing steed
And nothing else saw all day long,
For sideways would she lean, and sing
A faery's song.
'She found me roots of relish sweet,
And honey wild and manna dew,
And sure in language strange she said,
"I love thee true!"
'She took me to her elfin grot,
And there she wept and sigh'd fill sore;
And there I shut her wild, wild eyes
With kisses four.
'And there she lullèd me asleep,
And there I dream'd—Ah! woe betide!
The latest dream I ever dream'd
On the cold hill's side.
'I saw pale kings and princes too,
Pale warriors, death-pale were they all;
They cried—"La belle Dame sans Merci
Hath thee in thrall!"
'I saw their starved lips in the gloam
With horrid warning gapèd wide,
And I awoke and found me here,
On the cold hill's side.
'And this is why I sojourn here
Alone and palely loitering,
Though the sedge is wither'd from the lake,
And no birds sing.'
Anything I can catch when I have the time to sit and watch it. I tend to like movies best because it takes (usually) around an hour and the story's complete. Go figure... Reading's better anyways...
uh, how about authors? (in no particular order):
JK Rowling, Zora Neale Hurston, JD Robb, Laurell K Hamilton, Nora Roberts, Stephanie Laurens, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Mary Shelley, Byron, Shakespeare, Elliot, ... uh... that's all I can think of off the top of my head. But I love reading... and I am completely eclectic, IE, lots of stuff. :)
I've decided it's completely pointless to try to pick out a single person as your hero, so I've picked out some traits of pple I know who inspire me...
Auntie Mo and her pride in family
Heather and her ability to get through crisis
Karen when she can laugh and cry at the same time
Kamarie for her "anti-drama" approach
Randi for her "step in and fight" for pple she cares about (although... sometimes, my love, you go overboard... :) )
stinkymaboo for always loving me and not caring that I have yet to really name him
boo for wagging his tail even when he's in trouble
Mikey Tuna for giving me kisses in the mornings before I had to leave for school and getting me hairy
Smokey for teaching me that hamsters can bite
Bubba for reminding me that turtles are scary and can hiss
My parents... (all three)... for proving to me that no matter what curves life throws, you'll come out. Even if the world falls down around your head... you can survive.
