About Me

when i was seven i decided that by the time i was sixteen and able to drive, all cars would be controlled not by steering wheels but by nintendo game controllers. i would be a good driver because i was good at mario kart. i also thought that, perhaps, cars would fly by the time i was able to drive. neither of these things happened. this is why i don't believe in god.

My Interests

me gusta: soccer, advocating for education as social justice, driving at night, things that are green, sunday night kickball!, hiking, camping, wandering, arlo the bicicleta, biking, argyle in the following formes: sweater.sweater vest.socks, microbrew ginger ale, thai food goodness, and cooking to miles davis. also, sometimes i take photos.

I'd like to meet:

anybody to wander aimlessly around town with or just someone to watch documentaries with...i've been addicted lately. someone who wants to bring me a different type of ginger ale (in a bottle or a six/four-pack of bottles) once a week for the rest of my life. someone who wants to spend an entire weekend doing nothing but watching arrested development. and i think that's all.

law and order (svu) geek, fan of big love polygamy, l-word obsessed, + reno 911, house, strangers w/ candy, and arrested development. nature, discovery, history and biography channels all keep me procrastinating when access to cable is available.

Books:

*authors* sedaris, vowell, krakauer, areanas, garcia marquez *subjects/genres* historical non-fiction, latin american studies type things, hilarious memoirs, gender/queer-ish things, yea!environment type writing, children's books, photo books of old school photo-journalists (cartier-bresson, winogrand, w. eugene smith, etc.) and current educational topics (how schools suck and how to make them better). *titles* me talk pretty one day, memories of my melancholy whores, perks of being a wallflower, before night falls, singing from the well, ferdinand the bull, assassination vacation, the man.the image.the world, *currently reading* world.changing and mortified (both are good times but for very different reasons)
