I am a musician on the Central Coast of NSW. I enjoy performing wether it be on my own or with my friends. I am endearingly known as the 'Music Slut' as I am always keen to play keys and sing along with a large network of musicians.
In addition to performing, I run a home studio where I do my songwriting, composing and recording. I have produced a number of my own original CD's under the artist name 'Porchdroid'. Check out www.porchdroid.com and also my porchdroid myspace page. I have also recorded some demo CD's for local musicians on the Central Coast some of which have become mainstream coastal acts.
I have been involved with scoring several soundtracks and musical beds for various video projects. I have been involved in composing numerous advertising jingles selected for inclusion on the published Jingle Toolbox collection of CD's.
I enjoy organising, running (and performing in) a number of Open Mic sessions at various venues on the Central Coast in an effort to expose the great amount of talent that exists in the region. This has proven to be quite rewarding as quite number of our open mic performers have now become regular performers on the Coast.
I also perform in a lounge style duo called Opus Blonde, playing mainly Restaurants, small clubs etc. Nothing too loud here, mainy dining / listening music.
I also enjoy playing keys and singing in my oiginals band 'The Zubricks', who are preparing to record our third CD. Check them out at mp3.com.au/thezubricks. We have a sort of demented doors sound. This is the louder, screaming vocals catharsis stuff.
Finally, but not least, I am a qualified Music Therapist working with disability clients on a regular basis. I find this area of work extremely rewarding.
In conjunction with my musical intrests, I enjoy a few hours (or days) in front of my beloved computer(s), usually involved in some creative endevour, usually tickling the virtual instruments (VSTI's).
Apart from my musical side, I enjoy watching thought provoking films, going out (though I prefer to do the entertaining). I also enjoy a flutter on the Pokies( go the Dream Weaver).
