Giorgi Gvantseladze was born in Tbilisi in 1984. From 1996 till 2005 he studied in Z. Paliashvili Musical Gymnasium in Tbilisi and at the Tbilisi State Conservatory with professor Giorgi Beridze.
Giorgi won number of national competitions. In 2001 he won 1 st prize on Francois Leleux competition, in 2003 1 st prize on the national music competition of Georgia .
He is a scholarship holder of Georgian President, Vladimit Spivakov, Kancheli-Kakhidze and DAAD.
During his studies in Tbilisi he was a guest student in Munich Richard Strauss Conservatory and after graduating from the Tbilisi Conservatory he continued to study in Munich ‘Hochschule fur Musik und Theater' with professor Francois Leleux .
After that he entered Salzburg Mozarteum University and continued his studying with Stefan Schilli till 2008.
From 2002 till 2005 he was a principal oboe of the National Symphony Orchestra of Georgia. Since 2007 he became principal oboe of Frankfurt Opera Orchestra.
Except this orchestras Giorgi played principal oboe in such an orchestras as, Munich Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt,
HR radio symphony orchestra Frankfurt and Chamber Orchestra of Europe, he worked with following conductor: Nicoluas Harnoncourt , Pauolo Carigninani, Sebastian Weigle, Bruno Weil, Paavo Järvi, Christoff Poppen, Jakow Kreizberg, Christian Zacharias and many others.
Giorgi appeared as a soloist with different Georgian orchestras and with Munich Hochschule Student Orchestra, he is also very active in chamber music, in 2009 he has been awarded the European Juventus Prize.
