Antony was born in Bury, Lancashire on 5th August 1975. He started dance classes aged 5 and went to Oldham Theatre Workshop where his peers included Lisa Riley, Anna Friel, Suranne Jones and Marsha Thomason. He was first notable appearance on our TV screens was hosting the Saturday morning magazine show 'UP2U' with Anthea Turner. He was 13. Years later he blasted his way onto screen in the ground-breaking phenomenon 'Queer As Folk' where he played the fabulous Alexander Perry. Straight after this he starred in 'Absolutely Fabulous' as Edina's website designer Damon. Antony then wrote and starred in his own BBC sitcom 'Having It Off' playing the vile, camp hairdresser Guy La Trousse. Antony went on to have a part in Manchester drama 'Burn It' written for him in 2003 by his friend Matt Greenhalgh. Then in 2004 he became 'Sean Tully' in the world's most loved television show 'Coronation Street'. Since then both Sean and Antony have quickly become one of Britain's most loved television characters!!
In January 2007 Antony took part in Soapstar Superstar. He won and raised a whopping £200,000 for Elton John Aids Foundation.
