The Tulsa Area Music Archives, Inc (TAMA), an Oklahoma Not-For-Profit corporation, is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.
The Tulsa Area Music Archives in Tulsa, Oklahoma has a mission: to collect, preserve, and archive the music and music-related memorabilia of the region’s musicians for study and enjoyment.

The specific and primary goal for which TAMA was formed is to collect, preserve, and archive the music and music-related memorabilia of the Tulsa area’s musicians who have made significant contributions locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. This corporation shall establish and maintain a permanent facility to house and maintain these collectibles as approved by its Board of Directors.
The general purposes, powers and goals are:
• To collect, preserve and archive music and music related memorabilia for Tulsa-related musicians. Also to identify and document the Tulsa-related musicians who have made significant contributions locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
• To make available to the public for educational purposes these archives via displays, publications and recordings, and to musicians via a Musician’s Reference Library.
• To promote Tulsa area music in general and to raise the profile of the area’s rich diverse music community as an important center for live and recorded music.
• To establish and maintain a secure, climate-controlled permanent facility to house and maintain and display these collectibles and the associated offices for staff.
