Who is Mr. boB?
After returning to New Orleans, (about 5 years ago), Mr. boB is the name by which I was referred to at one of the places I hangout. Since then many of the people I have met there just refer to me as boB. Notice: I spell my name backwards to prevent impostors from using my name to get me in trouble and to differentiate myself from the Bob that somehow seems to function during daylight hours. Or least that is how the story goes... In some circles of my endeavor… to personally evaluate all forms of New Orleans Nightlife the name Mr. boB seems to have stuck.
So what the hell! From this point I might as well trademark the name Mr. boBâ„¢ and prevent imposters from creating any sense of confusion.
Crawling the streets of New Orleans, profiling Bars & Restaurants in search of nocturnal pleasures, is an arduous task… But someone has to do it...
As such I took on the task of profiling all of the bars and restaurants in New Orleans. My personal record to date is 21 bars in one night. I had no assistance and I was the designated driver. It's hard to believe, but I am probably the only sober alcoholic in all of the New Orleans area. I drink for taste not for effect. I love the flavor of adult beverages. I have also learned long ago that when it comes to drinking… the day after was rarely worth the experience of the night before. What's the point if you can't remember what you did, who you did, how you did, or even if you did???
To justify my carousing around at night, I decided to create The Night Crawler's Guide to New Orleans Nightlifeâ„¢ and put up a website to document my experiences and to write-off my expenses...
