About Me
Since 1984, Troy has been a familiar face at Clinton Recording Studios in NYC. He has since moved into freelance work and is now living in Wyoming. He still does an occasional session in New York or wherever he's needed.
During the past two decades, he has engineered hundreds of sessions in various styles for records, film, television and commercials. He has worked with such record companies as Blue Note Records, BMG Music, CBS-Sony Records, Fantasy Records, Key'stone Music, Lola Records, Milestone Records, Time/Life Music, Universal Music Media, Venus Records and Verve Records.
He has received several awards, including a Grammy (Sonny Rollins - This Is What I Do), a Swing Journal Best Engineering Award (Archie Shepp Quartet - True Ballads), several Swing Journal Gold Disk Awards and two Telly Awards.
His work includes projects with such artists as Ahmad Jamal, Barry Harris, Ben Sher, Benny Golson, The Bronx Horns, Chano Dominguez Septeto, Chico O’Farrill, Cy Coleman, Cyndi Lauper, Dave Hazeltine, Donald Harrison, Eddie Henderson, Eddie Higgins, Eric Alexander, Eric Reed, Freddy Cole, Fyvush Finkel, George Mraz, Grant Green Jr., Ian Shaw & Cedar Walton, Joe Locke, The King’s Singers, Leslie Ugghams, Lew Soloff, Mark McVeigh, McCoy Tyner, Mongo Santamaria, One For All, Perico Sambeat, Philip Bailey, PM Dawn, The Pointer Sisters, Reuben Blades, Roy Hargrove, Roy Haynes, Sonny Rollins, Steve Kuhn, Tommy Tune, Tony Bennett and Vanessa Williams.
