Band Members:How do you explain what happens when three guys from completely different
backgrounds join together on stage to play a little western swing, maybe a little gospel. Well you cant explain it. These three old guys; John Adams -Guitar and vocals; Ian Campbell - stand up bass and vocals and Dick Henneberry, Vocals take a little Sons of the Pioneers add a little down home humor, stir in a little ego (just enough) and the stage becomes their own little playground for an hour or so. Stimulants are not necessary for these three as the energy generated from the stage is infectious. That folks is "Tumbleweed". Formed out of boredom, and because they were told that nobody wanted to listen to THAT type of music. RIGHT!! John playing guitar in a jazz style , coupled with boundless energy and a smile that just won't quit, owns the left side of the stage, pity anyone should intrude. Ian who cut his teeth on classical music and show tunes anchors the right side. At 6"3 we don't mess with the 'big guy' and his upright bass. Stuck in the middle of all this iis Dick Brought up on Pat Boone,Elvis and Frank. What a stew! So after six years and many concerts, Tumbleweed continues to have a ball, and hopes that strange combo of styles and personalities continues to enjoy their music the tumbleweed way.Happy trails to you.
