I enjoy that of the tree frog. Also, various other delightful bands and performing artists such as Blonde Redhead, Trans Am, Robert Crumb and the Cheap Suit Serenaders, Renaldo and the Loaf, Public Enemy, Lambchop, Mew, Traening, The Postal Service, Flaming Lips, Electric Six, Junior Senior, The Talking Heads, Air, Radiohead, Pixies, Andrew Bird, Elvis Costello, Stars Like Fleas....I grow weary now and can list no more.
Baby Snakes!I just watched it again and have such a renewed love for Frank, Adrian Belew, Terry Bozzio, and that claymation guy. I'm also quite fond of Fishing With John, Stranger Than Paradise, Willard, and I had a strange infatuation with Trading Places in high school-watched it almost every week and certain parts over and over and I don't really know why. Also The Beaver Trilogy.
Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends. And one morning when it was still dark I was summoned by my husband to come see the strange penis things on PBS. It was "Boobah" and the website is equally enchanting.
I like books with pictures in them-Frank Auerbach, Redon, Guston, de Kooning, Miro, Yayoi Kusama, Bonnard. When I want to read words, I enjoy Kobo Abe, Roald Dahl, Ron Padgett, Dick Gallup, Murakami. When I'm sick, I read mysteries.
