I am here for Friends

About Me

The quick and dirty

I am, above all things, a sarcastic bastard. Some would say a cynical bastard. The rest would probably say much worse.

I'm officially a college grad!!! Yay! Wadda mean I gotta start paying back all my loans now? boooo...

I used to work for the Federal Government in DC. It was kinda wierd working 2 blocks from the White House. Then, I decided D.C. sucked, so my awesome friends got me a job back in Raleigh and even helped move me back 'home'.

I have cursed Myspace to the ends of the earth, but I recently found a lot of my old friends I lost contact with are one here, so I'm giving it a go...

Exercising the Brain

My job sorta turns my brain into soup, so I've returned to reading. My current reading list via recommendations from friends(in no particular order):An Imperfect God by Henry Wiencek(done) The innovator's dilemma by Clayton M. Christensen Language in thought and action by S. I. Hayakawa Othello Antigone The Red Queen by Matt Ridley (If I can find a copy) Misquoting Jesus by Bart D. Ehrman "some damn H.P. Lovecraft"(done, very nice stuff) Scott MacLeod's Fall Revolution series Atlas Shrugged (all elvendy billion pages of it) The Great Gatsby The Unvanquished by William Faulkner (b/c everyone deserves a 2nd chance) Various short works by Shakespeare, Proust, Hemingway, T.S. Eliot, etc. Once again, if you know a book you think I should read, let me know and I'll add it to the mix.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Penn and Teller Jamie and Adam (from Myth Busters)

My Blog

Screw you guys, I'm going home

As many of you have heard, DC is the land of hell, at least for me. Either my southern roots are showing or this political furball is just getting to me. Either way, DC sucks, the people are assholes....
