I would love one day to meet Kat though and get a tattoo from her!!Katherine von Drachenberg was born on March 4, 1982 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Though her father (Rene Drachenberg) is of German descent and her mother (Sylvia Galeano) has Spanish-Italian roots, both her parents are native Argentinians.
Kat has two siblings...a sister named Karoline and a brother named Michael.
When Kat was four years old, her family relocated to the US and settled in Colton, CA. She was just 14 when she got her first tattoo...an old English "J" on her ankle.
It wasn't long before Kat realized her natural artistic ability and picked up a tattoo machine herself. Her first effort was a Misfits skull.
Kat began working at Sin City Tattoo, her first professional shop, in 1998. Throughout the next few years she moved around to several other shops, gaining experience and perfecting her art, before finally settling at True Tattoo in Los Angeles.
In addition to her love for the art of tattooing, she is also a fan of Beethoven, and has several tattoos dedicated to or inspired by him. Kat was a long time in the Tv Series Miami Ink.For those of you unfamiliar with Kat and her work. Kat is the newest addition to the team on The Learning Channel's hit reality series about a Miami tattoo shop called "Miami Ink".Kat specializes in portrait tattoos. She performed her first tattoo at age 14 and has been pursuing her passion for the art ever since. She began working at her first shop at the young age of 16. She has been working with Chris Garver at The Miami Ink shop for over a year now and believes this experience to be one of the most educational and fulfilling of her life. Kat also works at Chris Garver and Clay Deckers shop in HOLLYWOOD CA called TRUE TATTOO! Kat is attracted to realistic tattoos. Her personal style gravitates toward portraits and realism, mostly on a black and gray scale. Kat loves playing classical piano as well as heavy metal music, and she is known by her closest friends as the biggest party animal west of the Mississippi. Kat is also famous for being the go-to girl for heartagram tattoos among HIM's fans (as she has tattooed not only Ville, but his girlfriend Jonna as well as Bam Margera). Kat also appeared in the latest HIM video finishing up a tattoo of a pair of eyes on Ville's back..... Kat has bigger and better things coming her way. She wont be tattooing at Miami Ink anymore, and will be back in Los Angeles full time, She will be opening up the raddest tattoo shop in Hollywood. Kat tattooed a Finnish band named Him and another dude named Bam Margera.)heheheh She loves glitter. She lives in Hollywood, right in the center of everything. Kat can see the Chinese Theater from her apartment. KVD loves L.A. and cant see herself living anywhere else. Kat loves skateboarding. She skateboard to work all the time. She is obsessed with Beethoven, and has been playing classical piano since the age of 7. Kat loves that Beethoven was a hopeless romantic, that he left everything he owned to the mysterious immortal beloved. Kats Favorite Motley Crue song is STARRY EYES!
