Kyle Morgan
Only Kyle knows who he really is, but we’ll give you a brief history to help you all relate to the artist known as K-Mo.
Kyle was born on November 8th, 1982 in Muncie, Indiana. He grew up in Ft. Wayne, Indiana where he spent most of his time playing sports and listening to music, but moved to Anderson, Indiana during his sophomore year of high school. That is where Kyle got more into music by free-styling. He was also real big on sports (especially football).
Kyle was lucky to have a best friend, David LeShon Tolliver (a member of kwolite). Shon and Kyle spent a lot of time together from high school, to college at Grambling State University, partied together, played ball together, and even planned their future successes together.
At Anderson High School, Kyle met his future associates in Sean Stuart (Lon), and Clarence Jones (Gritts) (developed a friendship with them years later though). Kyle also met Michael Chamberlain (a part of hip-hop group KM²) through playing football. They became friends. This is mentioned because Kyle first looked at rapping as a hobby, but the success of friend Michael pushed Kyle to further his rap skills.
Kyle then began battling people, and began the push to better himself even more. During his sophomore year of college, Kyle met up with a team called “Franchise” (at the time), which consisted of Terrence, Glen Barkesdale, Gerald Burside, and Shon Tolliver. This group eventually parted ways due to people leaving Grambling State to do other things. This group did help Kyle shape some of his talent, and helped him believe in his talent more.
After losing his group at Grambling, Kyle continued to do music. He met back up with Sean (Lon), and first wanted to work on tracks for a solo album. Lon at the time was working with another recording artist on a solo album, The Gritts LP, and after hearing the production and lyrics on that album decided that he wanted to work with them two more than just an album. After working together for a summer with Lon on some solo tracks, and Gritts (at times), ideas sprouted about starting a group…
And then there was KWOL•IT•E
