Hey ! Welcome to my page…. I almost cannot put into words how happy I am to be presenting my new CD! I have spent most of my career writing songs for other artists.I became a professional writer in Detroit, Michigan at the age of 13. Since then I have had songs recorded by Hall Of Fame Inductees, Mavis Staples, Etta James, jazz great Benny Golson, The Three Degrees, Barbara Lewis, Johnnie Mae Matthews and Deon Jackson. I have worked as a lyricist on an NBC television production and have written and performed radio promos. I was also signed as a writer/artist by Clive Davis to Columbia Records.My new CD is a collection of original compositions. It is a reflection of the experience I have gained in the industry. I made the decision to form my new indie record label for this special project. My first and foremost choice was choosing my producer. Preston Glass is a multi-talented award winning writer/producer and we had a lot of fun in the studio working with all the musicians as well as with Sam Lewis, our 1. engineer. We are both very pleased with the results and hope you are too.
I made an effort to choose songs and to write songs for this project that would appeal to the “real deal†in relationships; also songs that can inspire hope in these trying times. Music needs to releate to everyday life and situations as they are and I have found that people respond and feel an attachment to music that reaches out to them. How do we feel, as listeners, when we hear a song that expresses something that is exactly what we are going through?...We all know the feeling…. It becomes our voice.......therefore we relate.
